Despina Serrano is an artisan who has been working with Caserita since 2010.
In 1998, she learned how to do macramé with jewels with travelers that sell this type of jewelry in the tourist areas to finance their visit to South America. Once she became an expert in the basics of macramé Despina began to invent her own techniques and her own jewelry designs.
Now she works with semi-precious stones, seeds from the tropical regions of Bolivia and recycled material, so she produces different types of jewelry.
The only tools Despina uses to create her jewelry are pliers and a drill. She has been working as a freelance professional since 2007 under the name of her sole proprietor company Despina Serrano Joyas.
When she makes new designs, she first has an idea in mind and then develops it to her taste as the macramé comes together.
You can find Despina Serrano's work in our on-line store: necklaces, pendants, bracelets and earrings, all hand made with natural materials.
