Tawa Tawa, Bolivian dessert
     
 

This is a recipe from Potosi that is served with molasses or powdered sugar at tea time and at breakfast.

Ingredients

- 4 teaspoons vegetable shortening

- 4 cups flour

- A pinch of salt

- 1 teaspoon sugar

- Water

Preparation

- Make a smooth, slightly elastic dough with the ingredients

- Roll out the dough and cut into rectangles

- Fry
